  <COA, Brazil - China>
-China's Jiangsu Shagang Group voyage-chartered for ten years a TBN owned by Bergessen to load 185,000 tons of iron ore at Tubarao, Brazil, for transport to Beilun. 3 - 4 voyages a year anticipated. Freight rate: $12.50 per ton. (Fio scale loading; unloading 30,000 tons/day) Laycan scheduled for April 2007.
-Jiangsu Shagang voyage-chartered a Cargill-owned TBN to load 150,000 - 160,000 tons of iron ore at Tubarao for transport to Beilun and Baoshan. Freight rate: $32.00 per ton. (Fio scale loading; unloading 30,000 tons/day) Laycan scheduled to start in April 2005 for the period up to May 2006.

  <Brazil - China>
-Pacific Bulk time-chartered the KILDARE (211,320 dwt) with delivery at Fos, France and redelivery in China after making the round of Brazil. Charter rate: $95,000 per day. Laycan schedule: Feb. 26 - 28.
-Hong Kong based Transfield time-chartered the BULK EUROPE (169,770 dwt) with delivery at Cape Passero, Italy and redelivery in China after making the round of Brazil. Charter rate: $85,000 per day. Laycan schedule: Jan. 31 - Feb. 1.

  <Australia - China>
- A Chinese company time-chartered the FIRST JUPITER (171,039 dwt) with delivery in China and redelivery in the same country after making the round of Australia. Charter rate: $59,000 per day. Laycan schedule: Jan. 30 - Feb. 1.

  <Western Australia - China>
-BHP Billiton time-chartered the MINERAL OAK (165,693 dwt) with delivery at Shekou, China and redelivery in the same country after making the round of Western Australia. Charter rate: $60,000 per day. Laycan schedule: Jan. 24 - 28.

  <US Gulf - China>
- AWB voyage-chartered the NIREFS to load 57,000 tons of grain (hss) at US Gulf for transport to China. Freight rate: $57.50 per ton. (Fio loading 10,000 tons/day; unloading 5,000 tons/day) Laycan schedule: Feb. 1 - 10.
