Manitoba Union Of Inco / Canada Accepts New Labor Agreement
= Unionized Workers Voted For New Labor Agreement At General Meeting Held In Last Week
The Union ( USW Local 6116 ) of Manitoba Division ( Thompson ) in Inco of Canada held on the 15th of September a general meeting, in order to decide officially whether new labor agreement informally arranged between representative of this Union and management of Inco is acceptable or not, and its unionized workers voted for new labor agreement. In consequence, new labor agreement, including that wages are raised by approximately 12% for the next 3 years, welfare conditions are improved and so on, has been concluded without going on a strike.

The representative of Manitoba Union said that the negotiations on renewal of labor agreement taken place this time were hard to conclude but this new labor agreement is due to the results of Union endeavored in the last 10 years.
