EWW / Germany Decides To Sell Special Grade Low Carbon Fe-Cr Directly To Customers
= To Break Away From Sales Through Metallurg Group
Elektrowerk Weisweiler GmbH.( EWW ) of Germany had been so far selling their special grade low carbon ferro-chrome through Metallurg Group companies as the worldwide exclusive sales agent but has decided to sell this ferro-alloy by themselves directly to the consumers concerned ( partially to trading companies ) from October of this year.

EWW already sent their letter concerning this change of the route for sales to these consumers and trading companies. EWW is a specialized company in Germany to produce special grade low carbon ferro-chrome at their Weisweiler plant and has exhibited its high quality in the western market.

As for the capital of EWW, the Kermas Group in London, which has taken over Samancor Chrome of South Africa from June of 2005, has also placed EWW under their control. The Kermas Group has already possessed Middleburg Technochrome of South Africa and Serov Ferro-Alloy Works of Russia as the bases to produce low carbon ferro-chrome but EWW has been producing and selling special grade low carbon ferro-chrome by means of importing chrome ore as raw material mainly from Turkey.

As regards various metals which Metallurg Far East had been so far selling in Japan as the exclusive agent, the two companies of Itochu Nonferrous Metals Materials and Shinwa Bussan have taken over almost of these businesses but, as far as special grade low carbon ferro-chrome produced by EWW is concerned, EWW will sell this ferro-alloy by themselves directly to the consumers concerned in Japan without utilizing sales agents.
