| China's Pig Iron Exports Total 128,000 Tons In Nov 06 |

China's pig iron exports totaled nearly 128,000 tons in November 2006, up by a factor of 30 from a mere 4,171 tons in the year before, according to Chinese customs statistics made available in Tokyo. In the breakdown by destination, Japan took the largest amount of 108,000 tons or 84.3% of the total. In January-November 2006, China's pig iron exports totaled 774,000 tons, down 65.0% from 229,000 tons in the same 2005 period. |
