|Tokyo Steel Ups Scrap Purchase Prices By Y500 At Three Works|
Japan's top electric steelmaker Tokyo Steel Mfg Co has raised what the company pays for locally available ferrous scrap by Y500/ton from Aug 28 at the company's three works. |
The price increase of Y500/ton applies to all grades of overland arrivals at the Kyushu works, those of seaborne and overland arrivals at the Takamatsu works, and those of overland arrivals at the Utsunomiya works.
As a result, the new delivered prices of No2 HMS are Y40,500/ton for overland arrivals at the Kyushu works, Y39,000/ton for seaborne and overland arrivals at the Takamatsu works, and Y37,500/ton for overland arrivals at the Utsunomiya works. For seaborne arrivals at the Kyushu works, the delivered price of No2 HMS is unchanged at Y39,500/ton.
At Tokyo Steel's flagship Okayama works, the purchase prices of local ferrous scrap remain unchanged this time. The delivered prices of No2 HMS are Y39,500/ton for seaborne arrivals and Y40,500/ton for overland arrivals.
