| Vale Settles New Pellet Prices With ArcelorMittal |

Brazilian Vale announced April 8 that it has agreed with ArcelorMittal on the new pellet prices for 2008 at US$2.2020 / DMTU, FOB Tubarão for Blast Furnace pellet with an increase of 86.67% from the levels for 2007, and US$2.4222 / DMTU, FOB Tubarão for DR pellet with the same incremental rate of 86.67%. DMTU stands for iron unit per dry metric tonne. |
