According to the results for the year ended 30 June (YEJ) 2008 announced by BHP Billiton on August 18, the Company posted record attributable profit delivered for the seventh consecutive year, with Revenue of US$59,473 million, Profit from operations US$24,145 million, and Attributable profit US$15,390 million. Annual production records for petroleum, copper, iron ore, manganese ore and allow, alumina and molybdenum, coupled with strong commodity prices worked as the principal profit contributors to the excellent result. |
