| BlueScope Steel Sells Out Taharoa Iron Sands Business |

Australian BlueScope Steel Limited announced August 26 that it sold its New Zealand iron sands mining and export operation, the Taharoa Iron Sands Business, to Hong Kong-based Cheung Kong Infrastructure Holdings Limited for NZ$250 million. The sale is expected to be completed by the fourth quarter of calendar 2008 and is subject to conditions including New Zealand Overseas Investment Office approval. |
