Australian Iron Road Limited announced September 8 that the Company commenced drilling at its mainstay Warramboo iron project located on the Eyre Peninsula of South Australia. The drilling, which will total 6,000 meters, will investigate approximately seven kilometers of strike length, expanding previous drilling that confirmed the existence of magnetite units and indicated that a high quality concentrate could be produced.
The drilling will also provide material for an expanded metallurgical investigation, ore beneficiation test program and an Order of Magnitude study. This initial program is expected to continue for six to eight weeks.
Iron Road Limited was established to capitalize on the growing global demand for iron ore. The Company has also two exploration projects prospective for iron ore mineralization in Western Australia (Windarling and Murchison), besides the Warramboo project in South Australia. |
