| Nucor Ups Q3 Earnings Guidance |

US electric steelmaker Nucor Corp has announced its increased earnings guidance for the July-September quarter of 2008. As a result, the world's largest electric steelmaker expects to win a record Q3 net profit of $2.15-2.20 per diluted share, up from the earlier forecast of $1.80-1.85. Nucor earned $1.29 per share in the third quarter of 2007 and a record $1.94 per share in the second quarter of 2008. |
