The circle to reduce production of manganese ferro-alloys has also enlarged to Ukraine. While China has been decreasing their production of manganese ferro-alloys to a considerable extent, it was known in this week that Ukraine, where is one of the large countries for production of manganese ferro-alloys following China, has decided to suspend the operations at two manganese mines of Privat, at Zaporozhye Ferro-Alloy Plant and at Stakhanov Ferro-Alloy Plant in order to cope with the very lowered prices of manganese ferro-alloys. In addition, Nikopol Ferro-Alloy Plant is scheduled to suspend their operations from the 1st of November for 2 months at least.
Privat is one of major suppliers of manganese in the world, having possessed large manganese mines located in Ukraine, Ghana and Western Australia and also the plants in Ukraine and the USA to produce manganese ferro-alloys. |
