| Japan's Nov H-Beam Exports Total 4,911 Tons |

Japan's customs cleared H-beam exports totaled 4,911 tons in November 2008, down 51.1% from a month ago (down 85.2% from a year ago), when their FOB values averaged Y134,000/ton, up Y4,000 from a month ago, according to announced trade statistics from the Ministry of Finance. As a result, they stood at a low level of 4,000 tons for the first time in three years and two months since September 2005 when they totaled 4,775 tons. In January-November 2008, Japan's customs cleared H-beam exports totaled 311,232 tons, up 5.7% from the same period of 2007. Meanwhile, Japan's customs cleared H-beam imports stood at a mere 116 tons in total in November 2008, down 7,063 tons from a month ago. The whole imports arrived from South Korea. |
