| Jan'09 Japanese Small Bar Output Totals 579,100 Tons |

Japan's nationwide production of small bars totaled 579,100 tons in January 2009, down 27.9% from a year ago, when it fell by 1.2% from a month ago, according to the Japan Iron & Steel Federation. Japanese small bar production totaled 8,483,200 tons in April 2008-January 2009 or in the first 10 ten months of fiscal 2008, down 14.0% from the corresponding period of fiscal 2007. |
