FerrAus Granted "Consent To Mine" By W. Australian Gov
= For East Pilbara Iron Ore Projects in WA =
Australian FerrAus Limited announced April 24 that the Western Australian Government has granted FerrAus the Consent to Mine on its tenements located within the Jigalong Aboriginal Reserve in the East Pilbara region of Western Australia (WA).

The Consent to Mine was granted following a recommendation and agreement of support for mining by the relevant Indigenous stakeholder groups - the Jigalong Community and the Nyiyaparli Native Title Claimant Group.

FerrAus Managing Director David Turvey said: "A commitment has been made between FerrAus Limited and the Indigenous stakeholder groups towards a long and mutually beneficial relationship that supports community development and resource development."

FerrAus is developing Robertson Range Project in the East Pilbara. In May 2008 it agreed with Chinese leading mining house Western Mining Co., Ltd. (WMC) for WMC to undertake a 10% placement in FerrAus.

Based in Adelaide, South Australia, FerrAus is exploring and developing iron ore, manganese and nickel. As regards iron ore, FerrAus has 100% owned exploration licences covering over 560 km2 in the under explored, high prospective new iron ore sub-province in the East Pilbara region.

Current resources of Direct Shipping Iron Ore reach 43.0 million tonnes (Mt), which is classified as per the JORC Code into 23.3 Mt Indicated and 19.7 Mt Inferred Resources.
