China's major integrated steel companies have requested the Ministry of Commerce to execute an antidumping investigation into HR coil imports from Russia, according to information made available in Tokyo. But it is uncertain whether the request amounts to a formal filing of the AD case.
There is a possibility that the AD investigation will involve HR coil imports from South Korea, Taiwan and Kazakhstan besides Russia, market sources believe. China's HR coil imports from each of the four nations are on the increase.
So far, it is likely that the Chinese AD probe will exclude HR coil imports from Japan, according to the Japanese parties concerned. |
