Japan's largest electric steelmaker Tokyo Steel Mfg Co increased what the company pays for locally available ferrous scrap by Y500/ton for grades except P&S scrap and by Y1,000/ton for P&S scrap at the company's four works, effective with July 3 purchases.
As a result, the new delivered prices of No2 HMS are Y26,000/ton for seaborne and overland arrivals at the Okayama works; Y26,000/ton for seaborne and overland arrivals at the Kyushu works; Y25,500/ton for seaborne and overland arrivals at the Takamatsu works; and Y26,500/ton for overland arrivals at the Utsunomiya works. |
