Nippon Steel Corp (NSC) resumed operations of the No2 blast furnace (inside volume: 3,273m3) from 8:00 PM, October 4 at its Kimitsu works in order to meet trouble with coke input into the No3 blast furnace (inside volume: 4,822m3) there, according to an October 5 announcement by Japan's largest integrated steelmaker.
NSC admits that it will take time to restore the coke flow for the Kimitsu No3 blast furnace.
The company announced September 16 that it had decided to refire the Kimitsu No2 blast furnace for resumed operations. |
