According to China's latest Customs Statistics announced by the country's Customs General Administration, iron ore imports into the country during January to December 2009 show the following results in descending order:
Qingdao (Shandong province): 155 million tons (Mt) (share: 24.6%), Shijiazhuang (Hebei): 97.493 Mt (15.5%), Tianjin (Tianjin Direct-Controlled Municipality): 66.831 Mt (10.6%), Nanjing (Jiangsu): 61.182 Mt (9.7%), Dalian (Liaoning): 41.544 Mt (6.6%), etc.
The imports corresponding to Qingdao include those discharged at Qingdao, Rizhao, Yantai ports in Shandong province. |
