According to the preliminary statistics of Australia's iron ore exports in calendar 2009 by state of origin announced by Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS), Western Australia (WA) continued to predominantly stand as the largest iron ore exporter of the country with 353.264 million tons (Mt) and a share of 97.2%. WA was followed by South Australia 6.606 Mt (share 1.8%) and Northern Territory 1.934 Mt (0.5%). |
