Part Of Major Mills / Europe Agrees To Rise Price Of Charge Chrome By 35 US-Cents For Q2 / 10
= Risen To 136 US-Cents For South African Product, Others Are Anticipated To Accept This Rise On 1st April
It was informed that part of major stainless steel companies in Europe has agreed on the 31st of March to rise the price of South African charge chrome for shipments in the second quarter (April - June) of 2010 by 35 US-Cents to 136 US-Cents per lb. of Cr on DDP base. However, other stainless steel mills in Europe are still continuing their negotiations on the price for the second quarter but expected to accept this rise on the 1st of April and a rise of 35 US-Cents per lb. of Cr will be agreed by almost of mills in Europe.
