Price Of Low Carbon FeCr For Shipments To Regular Consumers In Q3 / 10 Rises
= For Japan, Following Firm Tone In Europe, To Rise By 13 - 16 US-Cents Per Lb. / Cr
The negotiations with regular consumers in Japan on price of low carbon ferro-chrome for shipment in July - September quarter of 2010 are being taken place on a line to rise from that settled for the preceding quarter of April - June. A level of new prices to be contracted for July - September quarter is supposed as 206 - 210 US-Cents per lb. of Cr CIF Japan for carbon 0.1% max. material.

The prices of low carbon ferro-chrome contracted with regular consumers for shipments in April - June quarter are in the range of 190 - 195 US-Cents per lb. of Cr CIF for carbon 0.1% material and, in comparison with these prices, new prices for July - September quarter will rise by 13 - 16 US-Cents per lb. of Cr. The market price of low carbon ferro-chrome in Europe once fell somewhat but has still maintained a firm tone. The current prices in Europe are in the range of 197 - 215 US-Cents per lb. of Cr with a mean of 210 US-Cents.

Reflecting this tendency of price for low carbon ferro-chrome in Europe, shippers have insisted on a rise in the course of the negotiations with Japanese consumers and the prices of low carbon ferro-chrome with carbon 0.1% settled for July - September quarter are supposed to be 205 US-Cents per lb. of Cr CIF Japan for large consumers but 206 - 208 US-Cents CIF as a whole. The price contracted with small consumers is thought to be on a level of 210 US-Cents CIF.
