| China Imported 1,056,000 Tons Of Manganese Ore In July 2010 As Increased From That In June |
| = Increased By 11% Compared To That In June, The Imports From South Africa Recorded Largest Quantity |

According to the customs-statistics released in China, the quantities of manganese ore imported by China in January - July of 2010 as well as in a single month of July were as per the table attached hereto. Namely, China imported 1,056,4449 tons of manganese ore in July of 2010, which increased by 10.8% compared with that (953,483 tons) in the previous month of June and also increased by 10.1% compared to that (959,576 tons) in the same month of 2009. The imports in June had a temporary decline but the imports in July returned again to a scale of 1,000,000 tons per month. China imported 368,000 tons of manganese ore from South Africa in July of 2010, having recorded the largest quantity per month in the imports from South Africa. Also, China imported the substantial quantities of manganese ore from Australia and Brazil in July and, consequently, the total quantity of manganese ore imported by China in July had a certain increase as a whole. China imported 153,000 tons of manganese ore from Myanmar in May of 2010 but the imports from this country in July suddenly decreased to 3,250 tons. The unit price of manganese ore averaged on imports in July was US$291.81 per ton of material, having risen by 5.7% from that in June, and this rise of the averaged unit price was due to the increased imports of manganese ore from Australia at high prices. |
