Japan's Consumption Of Nickel Metal In January 2011
= Consumed 3,826.83 Tons As Increased By 7% Compared To That In Dec. 2010
According to the data compiled and released by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, Japan consumed 3,826.830 tons of nickel metal in January of 2011, which increased by 6.8% compared with that in the previous month of December of 2010 but decreased by 1.1% compared to that in the same month of 2010.

The special steel sector of Japan consumed 3,172.733 tons of nickel metal in January of 2011, having had a substantial increase of 6.6% compared with that (2,975.559 tons) in December of 2010. The quantities of nickel metal consumed by main sectors of Japan in January of 2011 were as follows (The figures in parentheses were those consumed in December of 2010) ;

<> Special steel : 3,172.733 tons (2,975.559 tons), <> Plating : 153.528 tons (157.287 tons), <> Battery : 139.543 tons (108.829 tons), <> Magnetic materials : 187.126 tons (169.606 tons), <> Catalyst : 20.000 tons (16.000 tons), <> Other sectors : 153.900 tons (155.056 tons) and <> Total : 3,826.830 tons (3,582.337 tons).
