Canada's Iron Ore Exports In June 2011
= January - June cumulative exports down 3.9% Y-o-Y to 14.386 million tonnes =
According to Canada's iron ore exports by destination and by province of origin in June 2011 reported by Statistics Canada, Canada's iron ore exports in June decreased by 19.3% from the same month the previous year to 2.544 million tonnes, pellets and concentrates in total. This resulted in January - June cumulative exports of 14.386 million tonnes, down 3.9% from the same period the previous year. Insufficient trucks and personnels in operational areas seemed to have affected production and sales. By province of origin, exports from Quebec have increased. By types of ore, in June, concentrates exports have surpassed pellets.
