|Australia's Woodside Produces 600,000 MT Of LNG During July-Sept|
|=Down 11% from the same period of last year due to turnaround of train 5, etc.|
According to the third quarter 2011 production report (July-September 2011), which was announced by Australian Woodside Petroleum Limited on October 21st, the company's LNG production during the period amounted to 599,000 MT with a decrease of 73,000 MT (10.9%) from the corresponding period of the previous year.|
This is largely because train 5 and the offshore production facilities at North West Shelf (NWS) LNG Project, which Woodside has participated in, had been temporarily shut down for periodical maintenance. The number of LNG shipment during the period fell by four to 64 from the same period of the prior year.
Total production at NWS during the period was 42,000 tons per day and the production by Woodside generated from its interest in the project amounted to 6,515 MT.
Incidentally, NWS LNG Project is equally owned by six companies. Each company such as Woodside, Shell, BP, BHP Billiton, Chevron and Japan Australia LNG (MIMI) Pty, Ltd. has 16.7% interest in the project respectively.
Woodside disclosed in the report for the period that the company started tender procedure for offshore central gas processing facility (CPF) concerning "Browse LNG Project" LNG production project which is partially owned by Woodside.
At present, Woodeside placed order for front-end engineering design (FEED) work with Chiyoda Corporation group and a group of KBR Inc.and other companies.
In the meantime, LNG shipment at "Pluto LNG Project" is salted for March 2012. In order to expand its production capacity, Woodside has continued discussion with gas drilling companies and gas resources companies.
