"Regas Satu" For West Java FSRU Conversion Completed
=Left for Jakarta and expected to start receiving LNG in May
A special LNG carrier equipped with floating storage regasification unit (FSRU) "Regas Satu" was completed, which will be permanently moored as a LNG import terminal at Jakart Bay in West Java, Indonesia.

Golar LNG, which was selected as a provider of FSRU, remodelled it-owned "Khannur" into "Regas Satu". The vessel is expected to receive LNG in Jakarta Bay in May.

On Jurong Island in Singapore where Khannur was converted to the vessel with FSRU, a commemoration ceremony was held to celebrate the completion. Indonesia's state-run oil company Pertamina and gas company Perusahaan Gas Negara (PGN), and the government agency BPMIGAS and so on attended the ceremony, when the completed FSRU was left for Jakarta Bay.

Upon arrival, "Regas Satu" will be moored at Jakarta Bay as LNG import terminal and then, commissioning of the vessel will start in late April, which includes cooling down and trail operations of LNG facilities, etc. The vessel will have capacity to receive 3 million tons per year of LNG. Regasified natural gas will be sold to Indonesia's state-owned electric power company PLN as a fuel for power generation.
