China's Iron Ore Imports For Jan - Feb 2012
= Up 5.5% to 124.28 million tonnes, imports from India and Iran decreased =
According to China's Customs Statistics, the country's cumulative iron ore imports for Jan-Feb 2012 were 124.289 million tonnes, up 6.514 million tonnes (5.5%) from the same period the previous year. By country, imports from India and Iran decreased of the top ten countries, while imports from the rest increased by double digits y-o-y, reflecting China's positive demand. Imports from India dropped by 6.535 million tonnes (41.1%) to 9.354 million tonnes, reflecting the government's export control policy. Also, imports from Iran decreased by 44.4% to 1.884 million tonnes.
