Brazil Manganese Ore 2012 Exports Down Y-O-Y
= 1,558,000 tons, down 25.5% from 2011; due to declines all over the board =
Exports of Brazilian manganese ore from Brazil during the calendar year of 2012 are as per the table attached hereto.

Quantity of the ore exported in 2012 was 1,558,000 tons (of Mn ore), down 25.5% from 2,091,000 tons recorded in the preceding year in a continued downward trend after the peak at 2,326,000 tons in 2010. The exports in 2012 comprise 23 tons of high/medium-grade ores (Mn>39%), down 99.7% from 2011, and 1,557,938 tons of low-grade ore, down 25.2% from 2011. The exported volume of high/medium-grade ores notably dropped to nearly none, while exports of the low-grade ore also dropped due to the declines to all the destinations including China.
