MGI Record Sales for YEJ13 at 8.77Mt
= Production and sales at Extension Hill contributed to the good performance =
According to Quarterly Report announced by Australia's Mount Gibson Iron Limited (MGI), the company had record total full year ore sales of 8.77 million tonnes in the year ended 30 June 2013 (YEJ13), up 3.559 million tonnes (68.3%) from YEJ12. Increased production and sales at Extension Hill, mid-west Western Australia, especially contributed to the good performance.

Production and Sales by operation are as follows; <mid-west> 2.404 million tonnes of production (ore crushed) (up 12.7% from YEJ12) and 2.55 million tonnes of sales (up 60%, same) at Tallering Peak, 2.467 million tonnes of production (up 50%, same) and 2.759 million tonnes of sales (up 3.6 times, same) at Extension Hill, and <north-west> 2.787 million tonnes of production (down 11.9%, same) and 3.461 million tonnes of sales (up 21.7%, same) at Koolan Island. In total, the company had 7.658 million tonnes of production (up 10.3%, same) and 8.771 million tonnes of sales (up 68.3%, same) in YEJ13.

Mount Gibson anticipates total ore sales of 9.0 to 9.5 million tonnes in the financial year ending 30 June 2014.
