Japan's Iron Ore Imports down 8% to 10.395 MT in June 2013
= Cumulative imports for 1H2013 up 0.6% to 66.452 million tonnes =
According to the trade statistics for June announced by Japan Ministry of Finance on Jul 24, iron ore imports in the month were 10.395 million tonnes which decreased by 8% from the same month the previous year. Imported amounted to 143.817 billion yen which increased by 14.4% Y-o-Y. Unit import price was 13,835 yen per tonne, up 24% Y-o-Y. As a result, imports for the first half year totaled 66.452 million tonnes, up 0.6% from the same months the previous year and import amounted to 788.684 billion yen which decreased by 3.9% Y-o-Y.
