The data surveyed by Customs Committee of Russia shows that the country exported 1,815,000 tonnes of iron ore in April 2014 averagely at US$95.6/tonne on FOB basis. Looking at the exports by type, Russia exported 1,017,000 tonnes of non-agglomerated iron ore (lump, fines) at US$87.1/tonne and 798,000 tonnes of agglomerated iron ore (pellets, sintered ore) at US$106.4/tonne. To Japan, 146,000 tonnes of non-agglomerated iron ore was exported at US$76.8/tonne in April.|
As a result, the cumulative exports of non-agglomerated and agglomerated iron ore during January-April totaled 7,871,000 MT. The average export unit price during the period was US$100.2/tonne. The details are that 4,448,000 tonnes of non-agglomerated iron ore was exported at US$90.1/tonne and 3,423,000 tonnes of agglomerated iron ore at US$113.4/tonne.
