Contract Price of LC FeCr in Oct-Dec US Cents 207
= Up by slightly less than US Cents 4 from prior period, and shortage of domestic supply power continues =
The price of low-carbon ferro-chrome for the period from October to December in 2014 Japanese stainless steel mills negotiated with overseas ferroalloy producers has been settled at US Cents 207 per lb, up by slightly less than US Cents 4 from US Cents 203 - 204 of the period (July - September), whose background is the demand for special steels in Japan is still firm and the supply from domestic ferroalloy producers is lacking.

Albeit LC ferro-chrome producers in Japan are doing a full-scale operation, the situation of the domestic demand exceeding the supply continues, and especially, the domestic products is in short supply in the spot market and the imported products are occupying the market. Because of that, stainless steel mills have shown an understanding of the price hike offered by the suppliers of imported products.
