BG to Start Shipments from QC-LNG in December
= BG notes uncertainty surrounding Prince Rupert LNG =
According to the third quarter 2014 operation report released recently by BG Group, it plans to start LNG shipments in December 2014 from the coal-seam gas liquefaction project in Australia, called "Queensland Curtis LNG (QC-LNG) project, where the British company serves as the operator. The project remains on schedule and within the budget.

At the plant in Curtis Island, power supply commenced in October and cool-down work is scheduled end-November. BG Group expects the plant to reach plateau production during 2016 and will have an output of around 8 million tonne per year.

As to the LNG project planned in Canada (Prince Rupert LNG), BG Group is taking a prudent approach to it, noting current uncertainty about the size and number of North American projects.

Regarding Lake Charles LNG, another LNG project in North America, financed and owned by Energy Transfer, it expects an approval from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) for construction of 15-million-tpy LNG plant within 2015. BG Group has been involved in the project as a partner in its development and as a counterpart of the liquefaction capacity contract.
