Japan's Tokyo Steel Mfg Co reduced what the pricing leader pays for locally available ferrous scrap by a uniform Y500/ton for all grades from Nov 29 at the company's Okayama works, Kyushu works and Takamatsu steel center. As a result, the company's price revision of local ferrous scrap took effect for the first time since Nov 5. Besides, the price reduction represented one for the first time in nearly one month since Oct 30. |
The new delivered prices of No2 HMS are Y28,500/ton for seaborne/overland arrivals at the Okayama works; Y29,500/ton for seaborne/overland arrivals at the Kyushu works; and Y28,500/ton for seaborne/overland arrivals at the Takamatsu steel center.
Tokyo Steel's purchase prices of local ferrous scrap remain unchanged at its Tahara and Utsunomiya works. The delivered prices of No2 HMS are Y30,000/ton for seaborne/overland arrivals at the Tahara works and Y30,000/ton for overland arrivals at the Utsunomiya works.
