Tokyo Steel Cuts Scrap Purchase Prices by Y500-1,000 at All Facilities
Japan's Tokyo Steel Mfg Co reduced what the pricing leader pays for locally available ferrous scrap by Y500-1,000/ton from Dec 13 at the company's all facilities.

A price reduction of Y500/ton applies to all grades of seaborne/overland arrivals at the Okayama works and the Takamatsu steel center. Another price reduction of Y1,000/ton applies to all grades of seaborne/overland arrivals at the Tahara and Kyushu works, and all grades of overland arrivals at the Utsunomiya works.

As a result, the new delivered prices of No2 HMS are Y28,000/ton for seaborne/overland arrivals at the Tahara works; Y26,500/ton for seaborne/overland arrivals at the Okayama works; Y27,000/ton for seaborne/overland arrivals at the Kyushu works; Y28,000/ton for overland arrivals at the Utsunomiya works; and Y26,500/ton for seaborne/overland arrivals at the Takamatsu steel center.
