BG Group's QC-LNG to Deliver First LNG Soon
= Production is ramping up =
BG Group is becoming ready to deliver first LNG from its Queensland Curtis LNG Project (QC-LNG) in Australia. The company is the operator of the project, which liquefy coal-seam gas to produce LNG. In its monthly update dated December 16, 2014, BG Group updated the project's status that production was ramping up and the first LNG was expected sometime during December.

The project is the first LNG producing plant that liquefies coal-seam gas located in Australia, ahead of other two projects being constructed next-door in the same island called Curtis Island, namely, Gladstone LNG Project (GLNG, 7.8 million tonnes per year) by Santos, Australia and partners, and Australia Pacific LNG Project (AP-LNG, 9 million tpy) by Origin Energy and partners, both are scheduled to start production in mid/late-2015.
