S. African Charge Chrome Price for Europe in Jul-Sept Up by US Cents 16
On June 22, Merafe Resources Limited, South Africa, a joint venture partner for Glencore -Merafe Chrome Venture announced on its home page that the benchmark price of South African charge chrome meant for Europe for shipments from July to September in 2016 was settled at US Cents 98.0 per lb.

This price is up by US Cents 16.0 from the prior period (up by 19.5% from the prior period), and such a price increase is for the first time since the price in the period from April to June in 2013 was up by US Cents 14.5 from the prior period.

Market participants analyze that the factor for this time's result is a continuously rising price of South African charge chrome meant for China.
