|Hanwa to Make Additional Investment in Ni Pig Iron Plant in Indonesia|

On September 1, Hanwa Co., Ltd. announced that it decided to make a partial investment in the nickel pig iron plant in Indonesia led by Tsingshan Steel Group, a major stainless steel mill in China, and finished the procedures.|
This plant is a project which Tsingshan Steel started in 2013 based on the joint venture with the nickel mining company in Indonesia, and the plants constructed by the first and second-stage projects have already been in operation on the Sulawesi Island, Indonesia. Hanwa has participated in the second-stage project for the first time, and will participate in the third-stage project as well.
The third-stage project aims to produce 60,000 tons (in pure Ni equivalent) annually, and is scheduled to commence production in April 2017.
For reference, the annual production volume (in pure Ni equivalent) from the first-stage project is 30,000 tons, and the same from the second-stage project is 60,000 tons. The productions from both projects have moved into gear.
