Japan's Exports of Steel Products in Oct Fell by 10.3% to 3,020 t/t
= Its exports of ordinary steel products were 1,880 t/t, down 15% for 14 months in a row =
The Japan Iron & Steel Federation released on 30th Japan's imports and exports of steel products in October. According to it, its export quantity of steel products (on all steel basis) in October was 3,021 thousand tons (abbreviated as t/t), down 10.3% from the same month last year for 9 months in a row.

Its export quantity of ordinary steel products was 1,881 t/t, down 15.4% ditto for 14 months in a row. By item, its exports of hot-rolled (HR) steel coils (838 t/t, down 20.0% ditto) decreased for 8 months in a row, those of galvanized steel sheets (223 t/t, down 9.7% ditto) did for 5 month in a row, those of steel plates (182 t/t, down 14.7% ditto) did for 14 months in a row, and those of cold-rolled (CR) steel coils (180 t/t, down 24.8% ditto) did for 4 months in a row.

By destination on all steel basis, its exports to Thailand (448 t/t, down 1.1% ditto) decreased for 8 months in a row, those to China (446 t/t, down 2.4% ditto) did for the first time in 2 months, those to Korea (444 t/t, down 24.5% ditto) did for 12 months in a row, those to Taiwan (226 t/t, up 22.7% ditto) increased for 2 months in a row, and those to the USA (133 t/t, down 0.9% ditto) decreased for 2 months in a row.
