|Production at District 10, China Expected to Make Recovery|
|= Price of SiMn gets weakened prior to others =|
A large-scale inspection the Ministry of Ecology and Environment of China (MEE) made in 10 districts (Inner Mongolia, Ningxia, Yunnan, Guangxi, Hebei, Jiangsu, Guangdong, Henan, Jiangxi and Heilongjiang) from the end of May finished on July 7.|
At the time of making an inspection this time, MEE made an inspection on the more actual operating condition than before by forbidding the producers from suspending operation before inspection, and detected non-compliance energetically, which resulted in the decreased production of ferroalloys in Inner Mongolia and Ningxia and the decreased production of stainless steel products in Jiangsu.
Since a large-scale inspection finished, the prices of some of the ferroalloys like silico manganese have already begun to come down in the Chinese domestic market because the production in the major production areas has no likelihood of being cut down and is expected to make a recovery.
As the price of silico manganese gives a big impact to the price of imported manganese meant for China, the focus now is on the movement of manganese ore prices as August shipment which are now under negotiation.
