|Japan's Sep-Arrival LNG Cargoes from Atlantic Ocean Area Range US$8-10s|

According to customs statistics released by the Ministry of Finance of Japan on October 30th, Japan's September LNG imports from the Atlantic Ocean area ranged around US$8-10s per mmbtu. Six cargoes, 378,000 mt of LNG were imported from three countries, the US, Nigeria, and Angola. The average price was US$9.90, slightly down by $0.04 from the last month's average.|
From the US, one cargo arrived at the Port of Kawasaki in Tokyo Bay at a price of high $9 and two cargoes at the Port of Sakaisenboku in Osaka Bay, western Japan, averaging at low $10. The Kawasaki-arrival cargo is expected to be shipped from the Cove Point Terminal for Tokyo Gas.
At the Kawasaki port, one cargo from Angola was also accepted at a price of low $9. Each one cargo from Nigeria arrived at the Port of Naoetsu in Niigata and Himeji in western Japan at prices of mid $8 and high $9 respectively.
A report by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan (METI) says the month's spot LNG imports from all areas averaged at US$10.1 per mmbtu, $0.3 higher than last month.
Incidentally, Japan's total LNG imports including long-term imports from Australia, Malaysia, Qatar and so on were 6.274 million mt in the month, averaging at $10.69 per mmbtu.
