|Karara Iron Ore, WA: Production and Shipment Both on a Decline|

Gindalbie Metals Ltd ("Gindalbie"), an Australian resources company engaged in iron ore business at the Mid West region of Western Australia, has reported its production and shipping performance for the Oct-Dec quarter. Ore mined stood at 4.939 mil tons (down 12.0% year-on-year (y/y)), while the production of concentrate at 1.851 mil tons, down 13.0% y/y, and the shipping volume of it at 1.919 mil tons, down 8.4% y/y.|
A total of 33 cargoes were shipped from Geraldton. The average Fe content was 65.6%.
The average C1 cost (direct cost) per ton (dry metric ton, DMT) (to the shipping of final product) was A$91.26, falling by A$0.81 (0.88%) quarter-on-quarter (q/q) from A92.07.
The average realized price per ton for the quarter (Karara Magnetite Concentrate, CFR) was A$128.61, down by A$1.72 (1.3%) q/q from A$130.33.
The operations are carried out by Karara Mining Ltd ("KML"), a mining operator set up jointly by China's Ansteel Group (the Anshan Iron and Steel Group Corporation, approx. 52%) and Gindalbie (48%).
