|= Down by 6% from year-earlier period, and production at Highland Valley mine continues to be at low level =|
Teck Resources Limited, Canada has recently announced its settlement of accounts in the period from October to December in 2018. |
The production volume of molybdenum (based on a 100% interest) at the mines in which Teck Resources has an interest in the period from October to December was 4.7 million lbs, drastically down by 28.8% from the year-earlier period.
The production volume at the Company's Highland Valley mine (Interest: 97.5%) was up from the prior period, but drastically down by 31.0% from the year-earlier period, which was partly because the mining was planned to take place in the portion where the quality was low. On the one hand, the production volume of molybdenum at Antamina mine (Interest: 22.5%) was down by 27.0% from the year-earlier period. Since the treated quantity of copper-zinc ore was up, the production volume of molybdenum was down.
