Teck Resources' Production of Mo Conc in Oct-Dec 4.7 Million LBS
= Down by 6% from year-earlier period, and production at Highland Valley mine continues to be at low level =
Teck Resources Limited, Canada has recently announced its settlement of accounts in the period from October to December in 2018.

The production volume of molybdenum (based on a 100% interest) at the mines in which Teck Resources has an interest in the period from October to December was 4.7 million lbs, drastically down by 28.8% from the year-earlier period.

The production volume at the Company's Highland Valley mine (Interest: 97.5%) was up from the prior period, but drastically down by 31.0% from the year-earlier period, which was partly because the mining was planned to take place in the portion where the quality was low. However, as the mining will take place in the deep layers of both Lornex and Valley pits, the production volume is expected to be improved.

On the one hand, the production volume of molybdenum at Antamina mine (Interest: 22.5%) was down by 27.0% from the year-earlier period. Since the treated quantity of copper-zinc ore was up, the production volume of molybdenum was down.

The Company's production and sales volumes of molybdenum concentrates is as shown in the table below.

For reference, this time the Company announced its forecast that the production volume in the full year 2019 would be 8.0 million lbs (6.0 million lbs at Highland Valley mine and 2.0 million lbs at Antamina mine). Besides, the Company sets the annual production volume during 2020 to 2022 at 6.0 to 8.0 million lbs (4.0 to 5.0 million lbs at Highland Valley mine and 2.0 to 3.0 million lbs at Antamina mine).
