|Freeport LNG Files for Commercial Operation of Train 1|

US-based Freeport LNG Development on 19th filed for commercial operation of the Freeport LNG Train 1 to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). The company explained it has completed all necessary processes for the commercial operation and requested FERC to approve it as soon as possible.|
The company is advancing an LNG production/export project at the Freeport LNG terminal. Three LNG trains each with a capacity of 4.4 million mt per annum will be built in the initial phase, and the first train started commissioning this August.
Shipment of commissioning cargoes from Train 1 started this September and each one cargo was shipped to UAE and Spain in the month.
Trains 2 and 3 plan to start operations in the fourth quarter of 2019 and the first quarter of 2020 respectively. The Train 4 expansion project is also ongoing.
In the US, LNG trains at four LNG terminals in Sabine Pass, Cove Point, Corpus Christi, and Cameron have already started commercial operations.
